Preparation & Practice 5.NF.2

* Important Note: Mrs. Dennis and I work together and do our best to ensure that your child does not have an abundance of homework due on any given night. Expect your child to have homework from each of us every night Monday thru Thursday. Typically this will consist of one Reading OR Writing, AND Spelling assignment from Mrs. Dennis, along with one Math, Science, OR Social Studies assignment from myself. Students will NEVER have homework in every subject. Nightly homework should take no longer than approximately 30-40 minutes and often students will be allowed to begin working on their homework in class. HOWEVER, if in-class assignments are not completed during the given class time (due to procrastination, not using time wisely, etc.) incomplete assignments may also be assigned, along with nightly homework.

Owingsville Elementary's Homework Policy states that students will have approximately 10 minutes of homework for each grade level. For example, 1st graders should have approximately 10 minutes per night, 2nd graders should have approximately 20 minutes per night, etc.
